At Scorpion Subaru, our latest development is an
effective lower ratio, low range gear set suitable for
all Foresters and Outbacks.
SCORPION
LOW RANGE GEAR SET MATERIAL SPECS:
 The input shaft and gears are made from
EN36A, which is high Nickel-Chrome alloy carburising steel. After heat
treatment this steel has extremely high core strength and the outer
surface has a 0.045” deep case hardness of 59/61 Rockwell C making it
the ultimate choice for strength and reliability.
After heat
treatment the components are Shot peened to relieve them of any stress
they may have.
All components are
manufactured using the latest CNC controlled equipment ensuring only the
tightest tolerances can be maintained during the production process.
To further ensure
that only the best quality components are delivered to the customer, the
manufacturers, “Albins Offroad
 Gear” has implemented the AS/NZS
9001/2000 Australian Standards Quality System.
